Vyacheslav Ivanovich Pchelkin (born 1941 , Ryazan ) is a Soviet and Russian sambo and judo wrestling coach. Honored Coach of the Russian Federation , Honorary Citizen of Cherkessk .

Biography
Vyacheslav Ivanovich Pchelkin was born in Ryazan in 1941, where his family was forced to move from the city of Kokhma , fleeing the advancing German troops. His father, Ivan Ilyich, went to the front from the first days of the war. Vyacheslav Ivanovich was the third son in the family [1] .
In 1949, the Pchelkins moved to Cherkessk , where they thought the food situation was not so difficult. In 1956, the father of Vyacheslav Ivanovich dies [2] .
The future coach began to engage in sports at the age of 14, when he enrolled in the boxing section. Sambo, he became interested in later, while serving in the army. Soon he won the Ukrainian championship and fulfilled the standard of the USSR master of sports in sambo. After demobilization, he opened the first sambo and judo school in Karachay-Cherkessia and began to study with children. Among his wards are honored master of sports in judo, world champion, participant in the Beijing Olympic Games Ruslan Kishmakhov , world champion in judo Muhamed Kunizhev , two-time winner of the World Cup judo fighter Maxim Bryanov , winner of the World and European Judo Cup Renat Saidov and other athletes. Vyacheslav Ivanovich also trained a number of trainers: now in Karachay-Cherkessia there are three honored trainers of Russia who were Pchelkin’s wards: Ayub Pshmakhov, Aznaur Urusov and Ruslan Koychuev.
In total, he worked as a trainer for more than 50 years [3] .
He is a supporter of the party United Russia [4] .
He has the titles “ Honored Coach of Russia ”, “Honorary Mentor of Martial Arts of Russia”, “Honorary Citizen of Cherkessk”, a medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree [5] , and an honorary badge “Golden Branch” [3] .
