Boris Antonovich Ponomarenko (b. 1937) - Combine operator of the Novomikhailovsky pig-breeding farm of the Kushchevsky district of the Krasnodar region , Hero of Socialist Labor .

Born on October 14, 1937 on the farm Chekunovka in a family of collective farmers (Communards).

From the age of 12 he worked on a collective farm.

In 1956-1959 he served in the army (tank crew).

After being transferred to the reserve, he graduated from the Shkurinsky College with a degree in a wide profile mechanic and began working on a tractor and combine at the Novomikhailovsky pig-breeding farm (into which his former collective farm was reorganized).

In 1973 he took the II place in the regional competition of combine operators. The following year, he threw 2368 tons of grain and took the first place.

In 1980 he graduated in absentia from the Bryukhovets Agricultural College, specializing in mechanics.

Since 1995, retired for health reasons.

He lives in the Novomikhailovsky rural settlement of Kuschevsky district of Krasnodar region.

By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 10, 1975, he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.

Awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (12/07/1973).

He was elected a delegate to the XXV Congress of the CPSU (1976).
