Mehran ( Persian مهران ) is a village in the north of Iran , in the Alborz island . It is part of the Talekan shakhrestan . It is part of the Dehestan (rural district) Bala-Talekan Bakhsh Merkesi.

Geography
The village is located in the northern part of Alborsa, in the highlands of southern Elburz , about 35 kilometers north of Keredzh , the provincial capital. The absolute height is 2124 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2006 census, the population of the village was 347 people (169 men and 178 women). In Mehran, there were 116 families. The literacy rate of the population was 74.35%. The literacy rate among men was 84.62%, among women - 64.61% [2] .
