Mengolan ( Persian منگلان ) is a village in the north of Iran , in the Alborz ostan . It is part of the Talekan shakhrestan . It is part of the Dehestan (rural district) Bala-Talekan bakhsha Merkezi.

Geography
The village is located in the northwestern part of Alborz, in the highlands of southern Elburz , on the right-bank part of the Shahrud River Valley, at a distance of approximately 34 kilometers to the north-northwest (NNW) from Keredzh , the provincial administrative center. The absolute height is 1883 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2006 census, the population of the village was 279 people (181 men and 98 women). In Mengolan, there were 81 families. The literacy rate of the population was 72.4%. The literacy rate among men was 70.17%, among women - 76.53% [2] .
