Biography
He began military service in the Russian Imperial Army . Drafted from the reserve to the 1st Infantry Reserve Battalion of the Russian Imperial Army during the First World War, on January 29, 1916 he was promoted to ensign [1] [2] . After the outbreak of the Civil War, he entered the service of the Republic of Estonia; in November 1919, he was sent to the 9th Infantry Battalion with the rank of captain. November 7, 1919 promoted to lieutenant colonel. He served until 1939 in the military districts of VΓ΅ru-Petseri, Valga and Viru-JΓ€rva. On November 8, 1939, he was transferred to the reserve.
He continued his service in the Soviet army, in 1940 he was appointed commander of the 21st Infantry Regiment of the 180th Infantry Division (military unit No. 5520) of the 22nd Infantry Corps . During the war, he was sent as a teacher to the Military Academy named after V.M. Frunze , and later served in the 8th Rifle Corps .
On September 25, 1950, he was arrested on charges of anti-Soviet activity and convicted. June 19, 1953 died in the Narva camp. On August 22, 2008, a memorial plaque was opened on Narva Embankment with the names of Soviet prisoners of war who died during the war, as well as with the names of those repressed in the postwar years: the name Trossi is also mentioned on the plate [3] .
