Biography
Born January 15, 1859 in the noble family of a general from the cavalry Alexander Mikhailovich Lermontov (February 27, 1838 - December 26, 1906) [1] .
In the Russian Imperial Army from September 9, 1876. In 1878 he graduated from the Page Corps . April 16, 1878 taught the rank of Cornet . He served in the Life Guards of Ulanov Her Majesty's Regiment. From December 21, 1882 to March 28, 1883 he served at the Officer Sergeant's School. August 30, 1883 received the rank of lieutenant . September 16, 1883 was appointed head of the regimental training team. April 24, 1888 received the rank of headquarters captain . From August 20, 1888 to August 20, 1889 he served in the personnel of No. 2 of the Guards Cavalry Reserve. From April 7, 1894 to February 27, 1902 he was the squadron commander. April 17, 1894 received the rank of captain . From March 8, 1902 to June 9, 1904 he was a junior staff officer. April 14, 1902 received the rank of colonel . On June 9, 1904 he was appointed acting assistant commander of the regiment for economic affairs. On June 7, 1906 he was appointed head of the Peterhof Palace Administration. April 13, 1908 received the rank of Major General , with the wording "for distinction." April 6, 1914 received the rank of lieutenant general , with the wording "for distinction." As of July 10, 1916 he was in the same rank and in the same position. July 8, 1917 was dismissed from service due to illness [1] .
