Fokin, Alexander Serafimovich

Born in the village of Demkino, Lipetsk region, December 13, 1954. He graduated from school, entered the Podolsk industrial college. From 1973 to 1975 - served in the Soviet army, in the missile forces. After demobilization, he worked at the Podolsk Dairy Plant, while at the same time he studied at the Institute for an engineering and economic profile ^[1] .

After graduation, he got a job at a Podolsk food factory as a mechanical engineer. Soon he headed the company as a director. From 1991 to 1999 he was elected as a deputy of the Podolsk city council of deputies, from 1999 to 2003 he was twice elected as a deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma. May 25, 2003, won the election for mayor of Podolsk ^[1] . Under him, the city of Podolsk on November 23, 2004, was given the status of a city district ^[2] .

On April 22, 2005, Alexander Fokin was formally charged with organizing the assassination of the main rival in the election campaign for the city mayor, the first deputy head of the Podolsk city administration, Peter Zabrodin, who was shot and killed by unknown people in a Volga official car on the night of June 13-14. near their own cottage in the village of Salkovo ^[3] . On November 9, 2005, Fokin was found hanged in the ward of a prison hospital in the Matrosskaya Tishina detention facility ^[4] .
