Bremner River is a tributary of the Copper River in the Valdez – Cordoba Census Area in Alaska . The river was named after John Bremner [1] - a gold digger who searched for gold along the river [2] .

The river flows southwest of the Chugach Mountains , 72 km north of the Catalla flows into the Copper River . The northern tributary of the Bremner River, 13 km long, originates from the eponymous glacier. The river flows on the territory of the Rangel – Saint – Elias National Park [3] .
The height of the source is 198 m above sea level. The height of the mouth is 53 m above sea level.
Rowing
Both the main course of the river and its northern tributary are popular among rowers [4] . American Whitewater assigned the II and IV category of difficulty to the Bremner River on the international river difficulty scale , due to the fact that the river flows in a mountainous and wooded area. Other dangers include cold and fast currents, isolation, brown bears and strong winds at the mouth .
