Vsevolod Nikolaevich Anfilogov (born 1938) is a specialist in the field of geochemistry, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2000).

Biography
Born on November 25, 1938 in the city of Mogoch , Mogochinsky district of the Chita region [1] , in the family of geologist Nikolai Vsevolodovich Anfilogov (1906–?).
In 1961, he graduated from the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute , specializing in geological engineering [1] .
From 1961 to 1971, he worked at the A.P. Vinogradov Institute of Geochemistry of the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Irkutsk), having gone from a senior laboratory assistant to the head of the laboratory of experimental geochemistry [1] .
In 1968 - defended his thesis [1] .
From 1971 to 1986, he worked at the A. N. Zavaritsky Institute of Geology and Geochemistry of the Ural Scientific Center of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (Sverdlovsk) as a team leader, head of the laboratory of experimental petrology and ore genesis [1] .
In 1982 - defended his doctoral dissertation [1] .
In 1987 - appointed director of the Ilmensky State Reserve of the Ural Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Miass) [1] .
From 1988 to 2013 - Director of the Institute of Mineralogy, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Miass) [1] .
Since 1998 - concurrently heads the Department of Mineralogy and Geochemistry of the South Ural State University (SUSU; branch in the city of Miass) [2] .
In 2000 - awarded the academic title of professor, and was elected a corresponding member of the RAS [2] .
Scientific activity
He developed the theory of co-crystallization of isomorphic impurities in open systems, anionic equilibria, viscosity and electrical conductivity of melts.
He substantiated the theory of polymer equilibria and methods for calculating the physicochemical properties of silicate melts.
Founder, leader of the scientific school "Structure and properties of magmatic melts" [1] .
The initiator of the creation at the Institute of Mineralogy of the Geological Faculty of SUSU [2] .
The author of more than 200 published works [2] .
