Plyos is a village in the Fedorovsky district of the Saratov region , as part of the rural settlement of Mortsevsky municipal formation .

History
Presumably founded during the construction of the Ples station on the Pokrovskaya Sloboda - Uralsk line of the Ryazan-Ural railway . The movement opened in 1894 [3] .
After the formation of the Volga German ASSR, the village was included in the Fedorov canton . According to the 1926 census, 110 residents, including 36 Germans (32.7%), lived in the village at Ples station [4]
On August 28, 1941, a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces on the resettlement of Germans living in the Volga region was issued. The German population was deported , the village, like other settlements of the Fedorov canton, is included in the Saratov region . As of 1956, the village of Plyos belonged to the Pervomaisky district of the Saratov region [5] .
Physico-geographical characteristics
The village is located in the Low Volga region , within the Syrt Plain , belonging to the East European Plain , on both sides of the railway, at an altitude of about 105 meters above sea level [6] . The relief is flat, slightly hilly. The soil is dark chestnut [7] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of the village of Mokrous is 29 km, to the regional center of the city of Saratov - 160 km [8]
