The city of Vladimir , the administrative center of the homonymous region , is divided into 3 districts (districts in the city) [1] [2] [3]
In the framework of the administrative-territorial structure of the region, Vladimir is a city of regional significance , to which 17 rural settlements are subordinate [1] [4] [2] ; within the framework of the municipal structure, it forms the municipal formation the city of Vladimir with the status of an urban district , which includes 18 settlements. [3]
Areas in the city are not municipalities .

History
In 1973, by resolution of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR in Vladimir, 3 districts were formed. In 2007, their borders took on a modern look.
