Egegik ( eng. Egegik ; yupik Igyagiim painga ) is a bay located 69 km from the city of Dillingham in Alaska and northeast of the Bristol Bay . The village of the same name ( Igyagiiq ) is located on a high cliff on the southern bank of the Egegik River in the upper part of the bay. Five kilometers to the west of the bay is Igiegik Airport . The surface area is 35 km².

Content
History
For the first time, Russian fur traders visited these territories in the period 1818–1867 [1] . At that time, the Hegek Yupik language was one of the five dialects of the Central Yupik language [2] .
Nature
Some species of birds and seals inhabit the coastal areas of the bay.
A commercial association in Egegik (R12T-03) is engaged in industrial fishing of Pacific salmon . Pink salmon, chum salmon, sockeye salmon, coho salmon and chinook fish, caught in the Egegik gulf (R12T-01 & R12T-02) and in the mouth of the river of the same name, are on sale [3] .
