History
In various sources, it is mentioned under the names of Gromlensky, Gramlenka, Gromlenka, etc. [3] [4] . The Gromensky farm is mentioned in the reference book "The history of the administrative-territorial division of the Stalingrad (Lower Volga) Territory. 1928-1936." as part of the Nizhne-Antoshensky Village Council (according to other sources - the Upper-Antoshensky) Village Council of the Uryupinsky District of the Khopyorsky District (abolished in 1930) of the Nizhne-Volzhsky Region (since 1934 - the Stalingrad Region). As of 1935 Gramlenka (II section) as part of the Iskra meeting council. The council in the same year was transferred to the Dobrinsky district [3] (From 1954 to 1957 the district was part of the Balashov region ) [4]
In 1963, in connection with the abolition of the Dobrinsky district, the farm was transferred to the Uryupinsky district [5] .
Geography
The farm is located in a steppe area in the west of the Uryupinsky district, within the Kalachsky highland , which is part of the East European Plain , on the right side of the Gromlenovskaya gully (the Podgornaya river basin). The terrain is hilly-flat. The settlement is located at an altitude of about 180-200 meters above sea level. The farm is surrounded by fields [6] . Soils - ordinary chernozem [7] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of the city of Volgograd is 380 km, to the district center of the city of Uryupinsk - 53 km, to the administrative center of the rural settlement of the village of Iskra - 15 km [8] .
