Biography
Born on June 20, 1946 in the village of Vialatichi, Borisov District, Minsk Region . In 1969 he graduated from the Polotsk Agricultural Technical School. In 1975 he graduated from BGINH them. V. Kuibyshev , in 1987 - the Higher Party School at the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus , in 1998 - postgraduate studies at the Belarusian Research Institute of Economics and Information Technology of the AIC, in 2004 - a doctoral program at the Institute of Systems Analysis of the AIC of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus .
In 1998 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of economic sciences in specialty 08.00.05 - economics and national economy management, in 2004 - his doctoral dissertation for the degree of doctor of economic sciences in specialty 08.00.05 - economics and national economy management. In 2000 he was awarded the academic title of associate professor, in 2012 - the academic title of professor.
He worked as an economist of a state farm, chief accountant of a collective farm , consultant of the department of agrarian policy of the Central Committee of the CPSU , head of planning and finance department in Smolevichi district executive committee, head of the Department of AIC of Minsk region, deputy chairman of the Oblagroprom of the Minsk region.
He was appointed Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus , Head of the Economic Department of the Office of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.
In 2000 , he headed the Research Institute of Energy Industry of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus
Scientific Activities
In 2000–2010 He was the editor-in-chief of the Economic Bulletin of the Research Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus , a member of the editorial board of the journal Belarus Economic Journal , from 2011 to the present, a member of the editorial board of the journal New Economy.
He is the author of 225 scientific works, including 10 monographs. The themes of his works are mainly devoted to macroeconomics .
