Tamar ( Hebrew תמר ) is a regional council in the southern administrative district of Israel , in the Negev desert from the south-west of the Dead Sea .

Content
History
The Regional Council was established on May 24, 1956, when the construction of the first housing began near Mount Sodom near the Dead Sea [2] .
Population
According to statistics from the Central Statistical Bureau of Israel, the population of the regional council for 2018 is 1,500 people [1] .
