Biography
Alberto was the son of Alboyno della Scala and . He became the ruler of Verona in 1335 , ruled with his brother Mastino II della Scala . At the beginning of his reign, abandoning the cautious balanced policy of his father, he began expansion in relation to neighboring rulers. In 1335, he took possession of Parma and occupied Reggio , knocking out Gonzaga . Such a policy involved Verona in the war with Florence , Milan and Venice , creating the League, which included the cities: Florence, Siena , Bologna , Perugia and Venice [2] . Alberto II della Scala died in Verona in 1352. Since he had no heirs, the throne was inherited by the sons of Mastino II.
Family
Alberto II della Scala was married once to Agnes de Gorica. He had no children from this marriage.
