Guran ( Persian گوران ) is a village in the north of Iran , in the Alborz stop . It is part of the Talekan shakhrestan . It is part of the Dehestan (rural district) Bala-Talekan Bakhsh Merkesi.

Geography
The village is located in the northwestern part of Alborz, in the highlands of southern Elburz , on the left bank of the Shahrud River Valley, at a distance of approximately 32 kilometers to the north-northwest (NNW) from Keredzh , the provincial capital. The absolute height is 1898 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2006 census, the population of the village was 553 people (282 men and 271 women). In Guran, there were 175 families. The literacy rate of the population was 84.45%. The literacy rate among men was 85.46%, among women - 83.39% [2] .
