Guo Yan ( Kit. 郭 焱 ) (born June 24, 1982 [2] ) is a Chinese athlete, a table tennis player , a member of the national team of the People's Republic of China , a three-time world champion in team level and a two-time world cup winner in singles.

Biography
Guo Yan was born in 1982 in Beijing. In 1998, she became a member of the national team of China [2] .
The first major success in the international arena was the victory at the ITTF World Tour stage in Zagreb in 2001 [3] . In all her career, Guo Yan won singles in seven stages of the ITTF World Tour and won the ITTF World Tour Grand Finals twice, in 2008 and 2009.
In 2006, Guo Yan won gold in singles at the World Cup and team gold at the World Championships. Later, she won the World Team Championship gold twice in 2008 and 2012, and once in the 2012 World Cup singles gold.
She stopped playing at the world level in 2014.
Game Style
Guo Yan plays with his right hand an European accent in attacking style, prefers to use topspins from medium distances [2] .
