Career
Born in Tsilkani . In 1968, he won the USSR Cup among rural athletes. In 1969, he won bronze at the IX International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament in Tbilisi. In 1972, he again won the USSR Cup among rural athletes.
In 1972-75, he was a member of the USSR national sambo team.
At the first world championship he won in the flyweight category. At this time, advocated for the Armed Forces ( Yerevan ).
In 1970 he graduated from the Georgian Institute of Physical Culture .
Since 1995 - Vice President of Georgia Sambo Federation. Since 1997, he has been a national sambo trainer.
Has state awards.
