Maurizio Bernardo ( Italian: Maurizio Bernardo , born June 3, 1963 in Palermo ) - Italian politician, member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies from the Democratic Party of Italy, treasurer of the Popular Zone faction.

Biography
Certified sociologist, engaged in private entrepreneurial activity. He was elected for the first time to the Italian Chamber of Deputies following the 2006 parliamentary elections from the Lombardy 3 constituency on the list of Forward Italy. Re-elected in 2008 (Lombardy 3) and 2013 (Lombardy 1) according to the list of the People of Freedom party, on November 16, 2013, after the dissolution of the People of Freedom party, he moved to the New Right Center under the leadership of Angelino Alfano [1] [2] . Since 2016, an independent deputy.
On July 21, 2015, he headed the VI commission (on finance) of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, replacing Daniele Capetzone from the Forward Italy Party. Advisor on financial issues of the Italy-USA Foundation. On December 6, 2016, after the failure of the constitutional referendum, he announced the impending departure from the New Right Center to the mixed faction [3] [4] , which, however, did not happen.
On March 18, 2017, Bernardo joined the People’s Alternative [5] , but on July 20 joined the ranks of the Democratic Party [6] [7] [8] .
