Fossa [1] ( Dizhev Canal ) is a channel [2] (river) in Ukraine , in the Korsun-Shevchenkovsky and Gorodishchensky districts of the Cherkasy region . Left tributary of Olshanka ( Dnieper basin).

Geography
Fossa is separated from the Ros River on the outskirts of the village of Derenkovets . It flows mainly to the southeast through the Dizhev swamp [3] . At the village of Staroselye, it flows into the Olshanka river, the right tributary of the Dnieper.
The river is 16 km long and has a river slope of 0.26 m / km. The pool area is 152 km².
