Content
History
As of 1964, the village belonged to the Chapaevsky village council. In 1969, the Chapaevsky Village Council was abolished, its territory with the settlements of Ilyich, Vengilovka, Morozov, Pronin, Chenin and w. The Vengilovsky junction was transferred to the Elton resort village council. In 1976, he was transferred from the administrative subordination of the Elton Village Council to the administrative subordination of the Stepnovsky Village Council. The Law of Volgograd Region dated December 30, 2004 No. 982-OD “On Establishing Borders and Granting the Status of the Pallasovsky District and Municipalities in Its Composition”, a Priozernoye rural settlement was formed as part of the Pallasovsky district in the village of Put Ilyich [2] .
Physico-geographical characteristics
The village is located within the Caspian lowland , at an altitude of about 23 meters above sea level [3] . Soils - solonetzes meadow (semi-hydromorphic) [4]
Near the village passes the Pallasovka - Elton highway. There is an access road to the village of Zhanibek of the Republic of Kazakhstan [5] . By road, the distance to the regional center of Pallasovka is 91 km, to the regional center of Volgograd - 310 km. The nearest railway station is Dzhanybek of the Volga Railway, located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the village of Zhanibek , 20 km north-east of the village of Put Ilyich.

The climate is continental (according to the Köppen - Dfa climate classification ).
