Syros - Ermoupolis ( Greek Δήμος Σύρου - Ερμούπολης [1] ) - community (dim) in the peripheral unit of Syros in the periphery of the South Aegean Islands in Greece. It was created in 2010 under the Kallikratis program at the merger of the communities of Ano Syros, Posidonia and Ermoupolis [2] . The population of 21 507 inhabitants according to the 2011 census [1] . Area 101.9 square kilometers. The density of 211.06 people per square kilometer [1] . The administrative center is Ermoupolis , the historical center is Ano Syros . In 2014, Eioros Marangos ( Greek Γεώργιος Μαραγκός ) was elected as the archimandrite in the local elections.

Geography
It borders with the communities of Andros and Tinos in the northeast, Mykonos in the southeast, Andiparos and Paros in the south, Serifos and Sifnos in the southwest, Kitnos in the west and Kei in the northwest.
