The Duchy of Chaneda ( Italian. Ducato di Ceneda ) is a historic state of Italy , ruled by the Lombards kingdom .

History
In 568, the Lombards under the leadership of Alboin invaded northeastern Italy. The duchy of Friul was formed on the western border of which, over time, the duchy of Chaneda was formed. Date of creation of the duchy is unknown. The capital of the duchy was the city of Oderzo . In 667, King Grimoalde destroyed Oderzo. Pavel Deacon mentions Duke Cheneda Orso, who fought under the direction of Duke Friuli Ferdulf against the Slavs . During the reign of King Liutprand , a Catholic diocese was formed in the Duchy of Chenneda.
