Church Ministry
He studied at the Lombard Seminary in Rome , then entered the Gregorian University , where he studied dogmatic theology . graduated from the university in 1955 and began to teach dogma at the diocesan seminary. He organized the Diocesan Institute of Theology for the laity.
On June 29, 1951 he was ordained a priest in Pavia .
In 1965, he became rector of the diocesan seminary of Pavia. In 1969 he became the General Vicar, and in 1975 he was appointed general vicar of the diocese.
From July 27, 1977 he was appointed Bishop of Lodi , on September 10 of the same year he was ordained bishop by Cardinal Antonio Poma .
November 10, 1988 appointed bishop of Treviso . He took office on February 11, 1989. He retired on December 3, 2003.
He lives in the city, in the parish of St. Agnes, where, on a voluntary basis, is a canon of the parish, helping the rector, his former secretary [1] .
