"Villa San Giovanni" ( Italian: Villa San Giovanni ) - station of the M1 line of the Milan Metro . The underground station is located beneath Monza Boulevard ( viale Monza ) in the north of Milan, not far from the old villa named after St. John ( Italian: San Giovanni ).

History
The station was opened as part of the first line of the M1 line (from the Sesto Marelli station to the Lotto station) [1] on November 1, 1964 [2] .
The design name was simply “Villa” [1] .
Features
The construction of the Villa San Giovanni station is similar to the construction of almost all the stations of the first stage: an underground location with two tracks - one for each direction and two side platforms. Above the station hall there is a mezzanine , in which entrance turnstiles and a booth for station employees are located [3] .
The station is located 568 meters from the Precotto station and 674 meters from the Sesto Marelli station [4] .
