Biography
Born on September 16, 1940 [3] in the family of provincial actors Olga Penchkovskaya and Vladimir Kochetkov. During the war, he was evacuated with his parents in Omsk [4] , then Stavropol lived. He studied at the school together with future famous actors Vladislav Dvorzhetsky and Emanuel Vitorgan . In 1948 he returned to Astrakhan. He spent his childhood in the theater, and already at that age he tried to stage performances [5] .
He entered the Astrakhan Pedagogical Institute. During training, he continued to engage in theatrical productions. in 1965, at the end of the institute, he was distributed in Kharabali , where he created a folk theater and staged a play by A. D. Salynsky “Pebbles in the palm of your hand”. The performance was noted at the First All-Union Festival of Amateur Workers ’Creativity and shown on the stage of the Moscow Maly Theater [5] .
Until 1970, Yuri Kochetkov studied in absentia at the Moscow Theater School named after B.V. Shchukin , having received the profession of director [6] . Since 1967 he worked as a director in the Astrakhan Regional Drama Theater . In 1970 he became director of the Astrakhan Theater for Young Spectators, and since 1974 he took the place of artistic director of this theater. In the Youth Theater he has staged over 80 performances [3] , including “Be prepared, Your Highness!” By L. A. Cassil , “Tom Sawyer” by M. Twain , “The Kid and Carlson, Who Lives on the Roof” A. Lindgren , “ Winnie the Pooh and everything, everything, everything ... ”according to A. Milne ,“ The Examiner ”based on the play by N.V. Gogol ,“ Cyrano de Bergerac ”based on the play by E. Rostan , plays by W. Shakespeare “ Romeo and Juliet ”and“ The Taming the Shrew ”by W. Shakespeare,“ The Tradesman in the Nobility ”based on the play by Moliere ,“ The Bunny-Zazayka ”based on the play by S. V. Mikhalkov ,“ The Adventures of Cipollino ”according to J. Rodari ,“ The Snow Queen ”based on the play by E. L. Schwartz ,“ Cat in glanders gah "based on Mr. Callan ," Humpbacked Horse "by Pyotr Yershov . Participated in city performances and concerts.
As a teacher, she works at the theater department of the Astrakhan College of Culture and Arts [6] and at the Astrakhan State Conservatory at the “Drama Theater and Cinema Actor” department [5] . Pupils of Yuri Kochetkov form the basis of the troupe of his theater, among them - People's Artist of Russia Sergey Martemyanov and Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Taraskin [3] [7] . The determining role was his role in the choice of theatrical profession for such actors as Vladimir Steklov , Dmitry Dyuzhev and Anastasia Zavorotnyuk [7] .
For more than 15 years he headed the Astrakhan branch of the Union of Theater Workers [5] . He was elected as a deputy of the district, city and regional councils of deputies.
