History

The village of Beketovka was founded in 1770 by the director of the Astrakhan state vineyards, Colonel Nikolai Leontyevich Beketov . The first settlers were Beketov's serfs, resettled by him from the Simbirsk province [2] . In the “List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire” of 1859, Beketovka (Yashkina) is mentioned as the owner village of the Astrakhan district (2nd camp) near the Bakhtemir river, located 30 versts from the provincial city of Astrakhan . Geography
