Novokuznetsk , a large city in the Kemerovo region , consists of six intra-city districts [1] [2] [3] , which are not municipalities: Zavodskaya , Kuznetsk , Kuibyshevsky , Novoilinsky , Ordzhonikidzevsky , Central .
The largest of the districts in terms of population is the Central district, in terms of the size of the territory is the Zavodsky district.
In the framework of the administrative-territorial structure of the region, Novokuznetsk is a city of regional subordination [1] ; within the framework of the municipal-territorial structure , a municipal entity Novokuznetsk urban district with the only settlement in its composition was formed within its borders. The Central district includes the territorial administration of Abagur , the Kuibyshevsky district includes the territorial administration of Listvyagi , the Ordzhonikidzevsky district includes the territorial administration of Pritomsky .
Microdistricts
City districts include microdistricts and quarters, within the framework of which a system of territorial public self-government of the population is created, which includes general meetings (gatherings) and conferences of citizens, as well as bodies of territorial public self-government: neighborhood councils, street and house committees and other public initiative bodies. Among the micro-districts of the city, former settlements that are part of the city line stand out: Abagur-Lesnoy , Abashevo , Listvyagi , Ostrovskaya platform , Pritomsky , Redakovo , Sotsgorod and others.
In the Central District, the resettled microdistrict Lower Colony (north of KMK), Upper Colony (south of KMK, north of Aba), DOZ, Sotsgorod , the old Center, New Center, Water.
History
In May 1941 Kuybyshevsky (in the western part of the city), Molotovsky (in the city center), Ordzhonikidzevsky (in the city center) and Starokuznetsk (on the right bank of the Tomsk) were formed. In 1958, the Molotovsky district was renamed Central. In 1962, the Ordzhonikidze district in the north was abolished by joining the Central District and was formed by the allocation of the eastern part of the Kuznetsk District in the Ordzhonikidze District in the east of the city. In 1963, the Zavodsky district was formed from the northern part of the Kuznetsk district. [eight]
The formation of the modern administrative structure was completed in 1998, when the Novoilinsky district was formed (separated from Zavodsky) [9] .
The historical center of the city is located in the Kuznetsk district [10] , within Sovetskaya Square, Voskresenskaya (Fortress) mountains, Kuznetsk fortress , Forshtadt (historical zone “Kuznetsk” [11] ). The administrative center of the city is located in the Central region, in it the historical and architectural zone “Old Center” is allocated [11] .
