The village was in the steppe , on the right bank of the Salt Cuba River [1] .
History
It was founded in 1855 as a subsidiary of the German colony Neu Schilling. Founders from the right-bank colony Schilling (Sosnovka). The village belonged to the Yeruslan colonial district, after the transition to the volost division - the Yeruslan volost of the Novouzensk district of the Samara province [2] .
Since 1921 - as part of the Yersulan (Langenfeldsk) district, since 1922 the Krasnokutsk canton of the Labor Commune, since 1923 - the Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of the Volga Region . During the famine of 1921, 66 people were born, 55 died. In 1926, there were a cooperative shop, an agricultural cooperative partnership, an elementary school, and a village council in the village. In 1935 it was transferred to the Ecgeim canton [2] .
On August 28, 1941, a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces on the resettlement of Germans living in the Volga region was issued, the population was deported . The village, like other settlements of the Ecgeim canton , was included in the Saratov region. Subsequently renamed Sosnovka .
