USSR Women's Chess Championship 1977

USSR Women's Chess Championship 1977 - the thirty-seventh USSR Women's Chess Championship. Passed from December 1 to December 27 in Lviv .

Final - 18 participants. The order of carrying out: 3 semifinals - Daugavpils, Dnipropetrovsk and Petrozavodsk, of which 4 prize-winners were admitted to the final; following the results of the 36th national championship - A. Akhsharumov, N. Alexandria, L. Zaitsev, E. Epstein; personally invited E. Akhmylovskaya and M. Chiburdanidze.

Without defeats, she held the championship Chiburdanidze, who first became the champion of the country - 13 points. 2-3 places were shared by Alexandria and N. Ioseliani - 12 points each.
