Sergey Vladimirovich Kolodiy ( February 4, 1981 - September 28, 2014 ) - captain of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , commander of a mechanized battalion company of the 93rd Dnepropetrovsk separate mechanized brigade . Hero of Ukraine (posthumously).

Biography
He graduated from the Guards faculty of military training named after the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, National Technical University of the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute .
Together with his company he defended the Donetsk airport for two months - starting from August 1. He died in battle while repelling a tank attack by armed groups at the Donetsk airport . Then another 7 soldiers of the 79th brigade also died.
He was buried in the Dergachevsky district in his native village.
On September 5, 2016, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the Mariinsky Palace presented award attributes of the title Hero of Ukraine - the Golden Star Order of the mother of the deceased [1] .
Rewards
- The title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Golden Star Order (August 23, 2016, posthumous) - for personal courage, heroism, fidelity to the military oath, found in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine [2] ;
- The order of Bogdan Khmelnytsky III degree (October 6, 2014, posthumous) - for personal courage and heroism shown in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine [3] .
