Marianne Aalda was born on May 7, 1948 in the United States . Graduated from Southern Illinois University .
She is known for her role as Didi Bannister-Stoner in the mystical soap opera " On the Doorstep of the Night ", which she played from 1981 to 1984.
Having survived uterine cancer, Aalda became an activist for greater awareness of the silent symptoms of gynecological cancer, referring to her own experience in her comedic career.
