Description
The picture refers to the period when Mondrian began experimenting with cubism : a limited palette of colors, background and foreground are very mixed. The technique with which the tree is made, in an elusively oval shape, resembles the techniques of Picasso and Braque. The oval shape in the works of Mondrian subsequently became more pronounced [1] .
