Biography
Born February 12, 1883 in Madrid . The only son of Alberto de Bourbon and Castelvi, 1st Marquise and 1st Duke of Santa Elena (1854-1939), and his first wife, Margarita d'Ast Novelle (1855-1915). Grandson of the Infanta Enrique de Bourbon, 1st Duke of Seville (1823-1870).
After studying law, Alberto de Bourbon entered the Academy of the Cavalry, where he received the rank of captain . After the proclamation of the Second Republic in Spain, he was removed from military service under the law of Asagni . Alberto de Bourbon sided with the nationalists in the fight against the Republicans .
Colonel Alberto de Bourbon, Duke of Santa Elena, died in Valladolid in 1959 from a chronic illness.
Marriage and offspring
On July 10, 1908 in Madrid, Alberto de Bourbon married Maria-Louise Pinto and Lekada (April 30, 1887 - December 13, 1977), the daughter of Jose Antonio Pinto and Lara and his wife, Maria Lekada and Toka. The spouses had two children:
- Alfonso Maria Alberto Luis Jose Antonio de Calasanz Paula Javier Pedro Regalado de Bourbon and Pinto , 8th Marquise Consort of Santa Fe de Guardiola (August 27, 1909, Valladolid - December 25, 1938, Lerida ), Cavalry Lieutenant . On March 19, 1933, in Madrid, he married Maria de Agnustias Perez del Pulgar and Alba, the 8th marquise de Santa Fe de Guardiola (October 17, 1907 - June 8/18, 1939), from whom he had two sons and daughter:
- Alberto de Bourbon, 3rd Duke of Santa Elena (November 23, 1933 - June 28, 1995), married since 1959, Eugenia Sanchez and Mendaro (born October 10, 1934)

- Marie-Louise Margarita Marie de Corazon of Guadalupe Francisco de Salez de Bourbon and Pinto (September 6, 1918, San Sebastian). On April 26, 1941, in Valladolid, she married her cousin Nicholas Gereda and Bustamente (born April 11, 1916, Valladolid), a cavalry officer, the son of Nicholas Gereda and Velargue and Margarita Bustamente and Pinto. They had three children.
