Kenji Shinoda ( Japanese 篠 田 賢治 ; born September 27, 1953 , Japan ) - Japanese diplomat, Japanese ambassador to Singapore (since 2016).

Biography
In March 1976 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Kyoto University and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan .
In June 1979 he graduated from the Harvard University School of Arts and Sciences.
Since 1990, he worked as first secretary at the Japanese Embassy in the United States (since 1993, in the rank of adviser).
In 1993, he was appointed adviser to the Japanese Embassy in Russia .
Since 1995, he was the head of the Second Middle East Division of the Bureau for Middle East and Africa Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and since 1996, he was the head of the Russian Division, Bureau of European Affairs and Oceania.
Since 1999, he has been an adviser to the Japanese Embassy in Russia.
Since 2002, he served as Deputy General Director of the Treaty Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (since 2003, Deputy General Director of the Department of Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs [1] ).
Since 2006, he has been Consul General of Japan in Chicago .
In 2008, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Japan to the United States.
Since 2010, he was Director General of the Intelligence and Analysis Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
From 2012 to 2016, he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Finland [2] .
Since April 7, 2016 he has been Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Singapore [3] . April 28 presented his credentials [4] .
