Lintu, Pekka

In 1972, he entered the service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and passed consular practical training in Marseille (France).

From 1973 to 1975 he worked in the Department of Trade Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.

From 1975 to 1978, at the rank of attaché, he worked at the Permanent Mission of Finland in Geneva (since 1978, at the rank of first secretary).

In 1976, he defended a dissertation at the University of Helsinki for a law degree in law.

From 1979 to 1981 he worked as a secretary in the Department for International Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland (from 1981 - as an adviser)

From 1984 to 1987, he served as an adviser at the Permanent Mission of Finland to the OECD in Paris .

From 1987 to 1989, he worked as the head of the department of trade policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland (from 1989 to 1991, he was an adviser to the TP Department; from 1991 to 1994, he was the deputy general director of the TP Department; in 1994, he was the deputy head of the TP Department).

From 1994 to 2000 he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Japan.

From 2000 to 2001 as a foreign affairs adviser in the Trade Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.

October 1, 2001 was appointed Deputy Secretary of State for Foreign Economic Relations ^[1] .

From 2006 to 2011 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to the United States ^[2] .

From 2011 to 2014 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Greece.
