History

The Kustanai Confectionery Factory was founded by the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR . Already in December 1974, the factory was commissioned with a design capacity of 24,560 tons of confectionery per year. In December 1974, a caramel shop consisting of I and II flow-mechanized caramel production lines with a filling capacity of 2,260 tons was launched first. each year. In March 1975, a biscuit workshop was launched. Line SL-1P - for the production of sugar varieties of cookies with a capacity of 6000 tons. in year. Line A2-SZL number 2 - for the production of protracted varieties of cookies with a capacity of 2700 tons. in year. In July 1975, the equipment for processing cocoa products was put into operation and the candy and chocolate shops, which produced glazed and unglazed sweets, chocolate and chocolate assorted, began to work. In the period 1975-1980, the factory mastered the production of high-grade caramel, marmalade, waffles, pills and toffee. As of 1981, the confectionery factory in a three-shift mode produced 30 thousand tons. products per year [4] [5] .

Before the collapse of the USSR, the factory was part of the Conditerprom Association of the Ministry of Food Industry of the Kazakh SSR. In 1993, with the liquidation of Konditerprom and the Ministry of Food Industry of the Kazakh SSR, it transferred to the State Cooperative Association Kazpischeprom. In 1995, as a result of privatization, it was transferred from state to private ownership and transformed into Bayan Sulu Joint-Stock Company [6] .

The factory produces and sells over 300 items of confectionery: sweets, chocolate, marshmallows, cookies, caramel, waffles, marmalade, dragee, toffee, chocolates sets [3] . The capacity of the factory is 65 thousand tons of products per year, a third of the products produced are exported to Russia, Germany, China, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan [7] , Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan [8] [9] .

In the fall of 2018, the Bayan Sulu factory entered the Russian market, and an official representative office was opened in the territory of the Russian Federation, in the city of Yekaterinburg.
