The New England Revolution is an American football club representing Greater Boston , Massachusetts . The Gillette Stadium Home Stadium is located in the southwestern suburb of Boston , Foxboro . It is one of ten clubs that founded the MLS league in 1996.

Content
History
The name of the club “Revolution” ( English revolution , “revolution”) pays tribute to the historical role that the New England region played in the American Revolution . Club colors are dark blue and red.
The owner of the club is Robert Kraft , who also owns the NFL New England Patriots . From 1996 to 2001, the club hosted its home games at the Foxboro Stadium , and is currently playing at the Gillette Stadium .
On October 1, 2014, Revolution announced the conclusion of a multi-year partnership agreement with the Lisbon Sporting . The purpose of the agreement is the exchange of experience, the development of joint methods for the development of players of the first and youth squads, the exchange of players for rent and mutual assistance in promoting the brands of clubs. In addition, according to the partnership, the clubs will combine scouting resources, and players and coaches will participate in joint training camps and hold friendly matches [1] .
On May 14, 2019, Bruce Arena was appointed the sporting director and head coach of the club [2] .
