He started earning a living early - he was a house painter, roofer, painter. He was engaged in self-education, traveled extensively in Russia.
Began to print in 1907 . For the feuilleton “They Dance” in 1912, he was expelled from Moscow.
First, the author of popular science books on history , ethnography , astronomy . During the First World War, the orderly. In 1918, together with A. S. Novikov-Priboy, he arrived in Barnaul , where he lived until 1920 , participated in local literary life, including in the Aguliprok literary association, published essays, short stories, and miniatures in the journal Siberian Dawn . Since 1920 it was published under the pseudonym Nizova.
Returning to Moscow in 1920, based on Altai impressions, he created the novels “Chernozemye”, “In the Altai Mountains”, and stories “In the Mountain Gorges” and “Golden Lake”. The story "Gentiles" (1922) was written under the influence of Hamsun .
In 1921-1923 he was a member of the Forge .
Many works by Nizovoy introduce older children to the historical events of the revolutionary era, to the life of the village at this difficult time, to the echoes of the civil war and to the majestic nature of the Altai Territory [2] .
His works on the theme of the five-year plan are especially weak in the artistic sense, for example, the novel Steel (1932). Nizovy has almost no literary flair, which is reflected, for example, in an overabundance of epithets. [3]
