History
The bureau was founded in the city of Olot , Spain in 1988 [2] .
In 1987, Aranda, Pigem and Vilalta graduated from the School of Architecture at the Technical University of Catalonia, and a year later the RCR Arquitectes studio was opened in Olot. Today they have been working together for almost 30 years.
Until 2012, architects worked only in Spain, then the geography of projects expanded - RCR buildings appeared in France, Belgium, and Dubai.
Style
The bureau is known for the frequent use of steel structures (often with a corrosion effect). Their objects are of small scale, but with careful elaboration of details [2] .
Selected Works
The bureau designed the massive building of the Soulages Museum, located in the French city of Rodez , winning the architectural competition [3] in 2007 [4] .
