Hernals ( German Hernals ) - the seventeenth district of Vienna . Formed in 1892 from the villages of Hernals, Dornbach ( Dornbach ) and Neuwaldegg ( Neuwaldegg ).

Hernals is located in the west of Vienna between Gürtel and the Vienna Forest . It borders the Döbling and Waring districts in the north, Alsergrund in the east, Ottakring in the south and Penzing in the west.
Hernals is one of the greenest areas of Vienna: almost 60% of the territory is covered with greenery.
