Yuri Georgiev Toshev ( Bulgarian. Yuri Georgiev Toshev , December 24, 1907 , Sofia - April 19, 1974 , Plovdiv ) - Bulgarian chess player , champion of Bulgaria in 1942 and 1947. Member of international competitions in the national team of Bulgaria .

Doctor by profession. Graduated from Sofia University . Made a good scientific career. From 1955 to 1973 headed the department of propaedeutics of surgical diseases in the clinic of the University of Plovdiv [1] . He was rector of the University of Plovdiv.
