He also worked as deputy dean of the faculty of pediatrics, deputy dean of the biomedical faculty, dean of the evening medical faculty [4] . He formed a department for the study of molecular mechanisms of drug addiction, a laboratory of molecular pharmacology and a laboratory of pharmacogenetics at his native institute [4] .

Since 1968, he headed the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Radiobiology of the Faculty of Biology, which he created and was the only one in the country [1] . In 1993, P.V.Sergeev organized the International Center for Theoretical Medicine on the basis of the Faculty of Biology and Biology, whose director he was until 2003 (was replaced by N. L. Shimanovsky ).

He was a member of the Presidium of the RAMS and the bureau of the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the RAMS, as well as the pharmacology section of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. He was the head of the State subprogram "Creating new drugs using biological and chemical synthesis" and one of the co-chairs of the National Congress "Man and Medicine", as well as the chairman of the specialized commission of the Pharmacological State Committee for Diagnostic Tools [1] .
