Born presumably in 1790 in the village Gendergen . When he was 15 years old, representatives of his clan Iappaz-nekip taipa Gendargena, pursued by bloodlines, left Gendergen and moved to Urus-Martan .

During the relocation to the plain, the weakened descendants of Abbaz, were attacked by detachments of robbers, who hijacked their horses.

In the 10s of the XIX century, his younger brother, Isa Gendergenoevsky, gathered his young relatives, and went on a campaign against the inhabitants of the mountains of Chechnya, who had earlier attacked the Abbazov family. The campaign, according to Yusup Elmurzayev , was successful, and ended with the return of horses that were stolen from Gendargenei [4] .

In the years 1810-1840 in Urus-Martan, at the head of which were the brothers Gendergenoevsky, many battles with Russian troops took place. Each of their campaigns in Urus-Martan ended with great losses and the flight of Russian troops back to the Terrible Fortress [4] .

According to General Neidgardt , in 1840, the brothers were the first to offer to invite Shamil to Chechnya [5] .

After the proclamation of Shamil as the Imam of Chechnya and Dagestan, the Gendergenoevsky brothers took part in almost all the major battles that took place in Chechnya and Dagestan. Some researchers believe that the most important role in the victory of the Highlanders in such battles as the Battle of Valerik [6] and the Darginsky campaign [7] was played by Isa Gendergenoevsky, Musa's younger brother.

He died in the village of Vedeno in December 1849 [8] .
