The fairy tale was written in 1923 , but at first was banned by censorship: in the phrase “And the horned beetles, the rich men”, the commission of the State Academic Council saw “sympathy for the kulak elements of the village ”.
The fairytale was first published by the Raduga Publishing House in 1924 under the title Mukhina Wedding , with illustrations by Vladimir Konashevich . The sixth edition of the tale in 1927 was first published under the modern title.
Story
The fly- Tsokotuha was walking across the field and found a coin. She bought a samovar for her and invited various insects because it was her birthday [1] . At this time, the Spider appeared and dragged Muhu-Tsokotuha. All insects fled, but suddenly Mosquito flew in and killed a spider. He became the bridegroom of the Fly-Tsokotukhi, and the insects celebrated their wedding.

In art and science
- The plot “Flies-Tsokotuhi” became the basis for many literary parodies — in particular, the cycle of parodies of Zinovy Paperny “Writers to Korney Chukovsky” [2] (by Anatoly Sofronov , Konstantin Simonov , Viktor Shklovsky and Ivan Astakhov [3] [4] ) and Leonid Filatov (on Bulat Okudzhava , Boris Slutsky and Yuri Levitansky ) [5] .
- Performances and musicals on a fairy tale are included in the repertoire of theaters for children. This is one of the regular subjects of matinees in kindergartens, in productions of children's theater and dance circles.
- In 1942, the composer Mikhail Krasiev wrote the children's opera “Fly-Tsokotuha”.
- Rock singer Alexander Gradsky wrote a rock opera based on the tale that came to us in amateur recordings.
- In the 1980s, the Georgian Iberia band performed the fly-tailing mini- musical in Russian, where the fairy-tale characters found a modern Georgian national flavor, in the musical rehearsed songs by Francis Le , Charles Gounod , Felix Mendelssohn , Alla Pugacheva , groups “ The Beatles ”, “ Boney M ”, “ Dschinghis Khan ”, Georgian and Gypsy songs, as well as tunes from foreign rock operas .
- Rock band " Red Mold " in 2004 based on the fairy tale created the punk musical "Fly-ssykatuha", replete with obscene vocabulary . In the musical there are fragments of other fairy tales of Korney Chukovsky - “The Cockroach” and “Aibolit”.
- In 1992, the entomologist Andrei Ozerov described a new genus and species of ant-shaped flies , named after the most famous literary hero from the order Diptera - Mucha tzokotucha [6] .
Quotes
| Alas, the tides of childish joy are infrequent in human life, and they do not last long. And is it possible to rely on the rise of inspiration? In essence, “Fly-Tsokotuha” is my only fairy tale, which I wrote from the first line to the last in a temper, in one day, without looking back, due to the suggestion of unexpectedly joyful feelings surging at me.Korney Chukovsky "How was written Fly-Tsokotuha" |
| The idea and content of “Fly-Tsokotuhi” does not correspond to our education of children in the spirit of friendship, unity, and the help of the collective. Look, the bugs are having fun, and neither Tsukutaha nor the author by any means condemn all these “friends” who left a comrade at a difficult moment ...Z. Lubin.
