January 25 - Lenin's article “ How do we reorganize Rabkrin ” published in Pravda

February 9 - Aeroflot airline founded ^[1] . The largest airline in the world until 1991.
February 27 - by order signed by Dzerzhinsky, the Nikolaev railway was renamed Oktyabrskaya ^[2]

May 29 - Representatives of the Russian Red Cross Society (ROCC) signed a declaration “On the Creation of the Union of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies”. The purpose of the union was to provide assistance to victims of natural disasters in peacetime, to prevent various diseases, in wartime - to help sick and wounded soldiers, as well as the war-affected population; assistance to health authorities in carrying out preventive and sanitary-improving measures.
May 30 - The Buryat-Mongol Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was formed as part of the RSFSR , which was transformed into the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1958 . Since 1992, Buryatia is a republic within the Russian Federation .

July 25 - Karelian labor commune (autonomous regional association) received the status of the autonomous republic of Karelia as part of the RSFSR

August 1 - USSR acceded to the Convention on the regime of straits of July 24, 1923
August 15 - the first flight of the first Soviet I-1 fighter, developed by Nikolai Nikolayevich Polikarpov .

- The All-Russian Agricultural and Handicraft Exhibition opened at the site of the park. Gorky in Moscow. The exhibition was the forerunner of VDNH .
- The first Soviet research vessel, Perseus, embarked on its first voyage.
