Monument to Simon Petlyure ( Ukrainian monument to Simon Petlyury ) is a monument to the Ukrainian military and political leader, head of the UNR Directory , the ataman of the UNR army and navy Simon Petlyure , opened in 2001 in the city of Rovno [1] , the first monument to Petlyura in Ukraine [ 1] [2] [3] . The authors of the monument are sculptors V. Sholudko [2] , V. Stasyuk and architect T. Melnichuk [1] .

The monument is located on Simon Petlyura Street, on the square next to the People’s House in Rivne - the city in which the UPR Government - Directory worked at the end of March 1919. The chief military chieftain Simon Petlyura and the headquarters of an active army were in Zdolbunov . From the balcony of one of the houses located near the monument, the chieftain spoke to the people [3] .
