Vnukovsky, Grigory Ivanovich

Grigory Ivanovich Vnukovsky (present Vnuchenko , 1879—?) - Soviet opera and concert singer (tenor). Known for performing at the Kiev Opera . He was a participant in many performances of the Nikolai Sadovsky Theater .

Biography

In 1895-1898 he studied at the S. Blumenfeld School of Music and Drama in Kiev (class of Catherine Massini ). Later she took private lessons from her [1] .

He began his artistic career in the 1890s in the choir of Nikolai Lysenko in Kiev. In 1899-1900 he was an artist of the musical and drama troupe A. Suslov . In 1901-1907, he was a soloist in the opera houses of Kazan and St. Petersburg (the Novaya Opera Theater under the direction of Alexei Tsereteli , 1905), Tbilisi , and Kharkov . In 1907-1923 - the soloist of the Kiev Opera, where he performed mainly characteristic parts. In 1918 he sang the part of the Clerk ( Cheryevichki by P. Tchaikovsky ) in the first Ukrainian production on the stage of the Kiev Opera. G. Vnukovskiy’s repertoire includes Nikolai Lysenko’s romances (among which are “The wind blows through the oak grove”, “At the dawn I got up”).

In 1903, he participated in the unveiling of the monument to I. Kotlyarevsky in Poltava , where he performed several folk songs and romances by Ukrainian composers, in particular, he first performed the solo part of the tenor in the cantata of Nikolai Lysenko “For Eternal Memory of Kotlyarevsky”. In 1907-1914 he took part in the concerts " Boyana ", " Enlightenment ", " Ukrainian Club ", in Shevchenko concerts. He was a participant in many performances of the Nikolai Sadovsky Theater [2] .

Since 1926 he sang in the choir of the Kiev Opera. After 1927, further fate is unknown.
