History

The station was opened as part of the first line of the M1 line (from the Sesto Marelli station to the Lotto station) [1] on November 1, 1964 [2] .

It was originally planned that the station would be called “Oberdan” ( Italian: Oberdan ) [1] .

Features

The construction of the Porta Venezia station is similar to the construction of almost all first-stage stations: an underground location with two tracks - one for each direction and two side platforms. An especially spacious mezzanine is located above the station hall, since it was planned that the station would be a transfer with the future M4 line , which was never implemented [3] .

The Porta Venezia station is located 604 meters from the Palestro station and 702 meters from the Lima station [4] .

Transplants

From the Porta Venezia station, transfers are made to railway and urban land transport:

  •   Train station Milan Porta Venice
  •   Tram lines 5, 9 and 33

Equipment

Station equipment:

  •   Escalators
  •   Ticket Sales Machines
  •   CCTV Cameras
